Tesla to Replace Battery Software program Following Automobile Fires

Tesla will replace its battery software program after two latest fires involving its Mannequin S electrical automobiles (EV) in Shanghai and Hong Kong, the US automaker mentioned on Thursday, including that investigations into the incidents are ongoing.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong’s Apple Every day newspaper reported {that a} Tesla automobile caught fireplace in a shopping center parking zone 30 minutes after being parked.

“As we continue our investigation of the root cause, out of an abundance of caution, we are revising charge and thermal management settings on Model S and Model X vehicles via an over-the-air software update that will begin rolling out today, to help further protect the battery and improve battery longevity.” Tesla mentioned in an announcement on Wednesday.
